Compare

The Compare function provides the ability to view the overlap of common controls between one authority document list and another. You must first specify a list (or individual documents) in List A before you will be able to select a source for List B.

List A: Choose + Select Documents and choose one or more of your authority document list(s) or individual documents to be on the left hand side in list A, and choose Compare Documents

List B: First select a data source:

  • My Frameworks - allows you to choose from the authority document lists available in your account. Choose + Select Documents and choose one or more of your authority document list(s) or individual documents to be on the right hand side in list B, and then select Compare Documents

  • UCF Catalog - allows you to choose one or more authority documents that are not currently available to your account. Choose + Select Documents and choose one or more of authority document(s) to be on the right hand side in list B, and then select Compare Documents

Under the Control Details section, you will see the count and percentage of common controls in List A Only, in List B Only, and the Overlap. Select View Details to see more information about the compare, where the following tabs are available:

  • Details - displays the overview panel showing the count and percentage of common controls in List A Only, in List B Only, and the Overlap

  • List A Only - displays the impact zones, control types and classifications for the common controls that are associated with List A. Each common control is displayed and can be expanded to show the authority document(s) it is mandated in, along with, the reference, guidance and tagged text information for that individual mandate.

  • Overlap - displays the impact zones, control types and classifications for the common controls that are in common between the documents in List A and List B. Each common control is displayed and can be expanded to show the authority document(s) it is mandated in, along with, the reference, guidance and tagged text information for that individual mandate.

  • List B Only - displays the impact zones, control types and classifications for the common controls that are associated with List B. Each common control is displayed and can be expanded to show the authority document(s) it is mandated in, along with, the reference, guidance and tagged text information for that individual mandate.

NOTE: When utilizing the UCF Catalog for documents in List B, common controls cannot be expanded to view the mandate data. Only common controls associated with documents accessible to your account can be expanded.
